English rose Catherine Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, formerly known as Kate Middleton, and husband Prince William, Duke of Cambridge joined the Royal family on the royal barge ‘Spirit of Chartwell’ to celebrate Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee River Pageant Flotilla, which honors the 60th anniversary of her ascension to the throne at Chelsea Pier on Sunday (June 3, 2012) in London, England.
The 30-year-old royal princess wife stunned in a long sleeved fire engine red Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2011 collection cocktail mini dress featuring a pleated skirt. The ladylike short frock was styled with Kiki McDonough citrine drop earrings, a red Sylvia Fletcher hat from James Lock & Co, a maritime-themed brooch featuring two gold dolphins positioned next to a crown, red clutch with bow, Strathearn tartan scarf (possible nod to her Scottish title the Countess of Strathearn) and nude LK Bennett ‘Sledge’ pumps.
At the river pageant, well-wishers from around the world joined the thousands of Great British public who gathered along the River Thames with over one thousand boats set sail on the River Thames to celebrate the Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant. This is only the second time in its history the UK celebrates the Diamond Jubilee of a monarch. The Queen’s great grandmother Queen Victoria celebrated the same achievement back in 1896.
Reality starlet Kim Kardashian wore the same dress in a sleeveless and shorter version back in August 2011.
